Student Spotlight: Nathan Edwards

Nathan Edwards
Nathan Andrew Edwards has lived in Granite Falls his whole life and was born November 16, 2000. He is vice president of Crossroads high school, and his goals for the school is to make everyone happy and make a difference in the school and the students. So far his constant parading around the halls cracking joking is causing plenty of smiles around the school. If he isn't stroking his fierce beard or showing off his gorgeous boots, he is giving hugs and cheeky smiles. Yes, there are times when his teachers want to pull the duck tape out to silence his chatter, but they all secretly love his comments and the laughter he brings to the classroom. Nathan is the person who can make the grumpiest of teacher's lips twitch into an unforced smile. So what brings Nathan to Crossroads? He came here his sophomore year because the high school was not his favorite place, and Crossroads respects you and treats you like an individual and not a little kid. To Nathan, Crossroads is more than just an education, it is a second big family for him.
Speaking of family, Nathan has a crazy big family who used to get together every Christmas Eve at his great grandma's house up until she passed away a couple of years ago. This was a really big tragedy for him. He loves his family more than anything. Besides family and Crossroads, Nathan enjoys driving his blue 1980 Toyota. This beast gets him where he needs to go! Nathan also loves to go wheeling and working on trucks.
He has big goals for the future, but right now his number one priority is to graduate high school. Then it is on to his next dream of owning his own mechanic company. A few more things you should know about Nathan are during the summer he does side jobs to earn extra money.  His favorite color is John Deer green and his favorite restaurant is Playa Bonita. Nathan is a junior now, likes dirt bikes, and is a Trump supporter. He loves this country! He also loves to help out his grandparents around their house and cabin; one day the cabin will be his. Nathan one day is going to have his own great family and do great things in his life even more than he is doing now.
